Lunch at the VP’s House

Sorry for the long wait! I’ve been having a crazy crazy week that I can’t wait to talk about! Currently I’m in training as an Orientation Leader for the Class of 2021. I’ve been incredibly blessed with this opportunity, and I sure am trying to make the most of it.

Over the past week and a half, we’ve sat through numerous programs and presentations trying to learn about every aspect of my university, from the food offerings to financial aid. On Friday, the University’s Vice President for Student Affairs hosted us for a lunch on campus at his house. This was extremely generous, and we had a fantastic time! We all got the chance to speak to him, we performed our song and dance for the professional staff of the University.

We were told that we could wear dressy casual, to which most people wore dresses or cute rompers, with flat shoes. I wore a dress really similar to this one from Old Navy. I grabbed it on the sale rack a little while ago, and knew it would be perfect for this occasion. I paired that dress with really cute dangle earrings, which I’m pretty sure were from Francesca’s. I also wore my sparkly Jack Rogers, which can be purchased here. The sparkle Jack’s are a bit harder to find, but you may be able to find them at a Nordstrom Rack near you or online!

Becoming an Orientation Leader and bonding with the other OL’s has been an incredible experience, and I’ve found some of my absolute best friends on this campus. Hopefully, I will get the chance to write more about my experience as an Orientation Leader and the lessons I’ve learned along the way, but for now, here’s some pictures!

Also, my friend gave me this super cool Henna, which I’m still sporting!
