Going to a business school pushes me to maximize my regular clothing into business casual outfits. A few times a month…
events come along where I need to dress business casual. Thankfully, I think I’ve gotten pretty good at piecing together some of my favorite pieces and making them more “work” appropriate. I’ve definitely made outfit combinations with these pieces before, but I’m in college and I’m making what works for me work again.
What’s great about the pieces I’m wearing is that they work well with other elements of my wardrobe. My black high waisted jeans look so professional and can pass for business pants, or going out jeans. This tank top blouse will accentuate any waist, and makes the perfect transition piece. My new Tory Burch flats which I scored on sale at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale work well with any black outfit, preppy or not. This J. Crew necklace has been a staple in my wardrobe for the last three or four years. It’s classic and so versatile. Come winter I’ll be wearing this necklace over button-ups and sweaters. Tonight I’m heading to the Career Fair, so I’ll be throwing my black blazer over this outfit and calling it a day!
