Things to Be Thankful For…

As this semester comes to a close I’ve had a lot of time to think about all the things I’ve been blessed with.

I have the chance to attend an amazing university and be a role model to 45 female residents as their Resident Assistant. I’ve made some amazing friendships and learned so much from talking to them and hearing their stories.

I have residents from all over the country and even the world. I used to take for granted the fact that I could drive an hour and a half home and see my parents but as we were packing up the residence hall on Tuesday, I realized some of my residents haven’t been home since August! August! How crazy is that! And they were in a completely different country. I swear it’s the little things, but this semester has made me very reflective of myself and the things I’ve been blessed with. As Christmas is only in two days, take a second and think about all the things you don’t think twice about. I’m grateful for my family, my friends, and the opportunity to make a difference in other people’s lives.

Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you enjoy and take time to spend with your family and friends!

  1. I’m an out-of-state student so I also hadn’t been home since August, but still reflecting on how lucky and blessed being with my family again makes me so happy!! Loved this post😊
